Has anyone looked into getting a tow bar fitted to an S3?

I made some general enquiries today with Hayman Reece and Audi.

Apparently you can only get them as a special import from Audi Germany and they need to be modified to meet Australian Standards. 3 months lead time and around $1000.

1600 kg

That has to be with a brake equipped trailer Chuch! B6 A4 1.8T quattro only manages 750kg non brake equipped and 1.5t with brakes.

Hi people, desperately trying to track down a reputable supplier of a towbar for my S3 - apparently Audi doesn't do them (or the place in new zealand where Audi Australia was having them made...)

Any advice appreciated. Need to tow a catamaran while summer's still here!
