Any of you guys seen this? I do like the A8 style tail lights much better than those on the 3dr....

That would be a great replacement for my wife's Bora in a year or so!

Will all of them be 4 doors or will they bring out a 2 door edition?
I like the current A3's and would like to buy one as a work car, either that or an older A4...
This looks like it should be an A4 rather than an A3...

Have fun,

Simon

P.S still looks SICK!!!

The 3 door hatch will be released in Australia over the next few months.... http://www.audi.com.au/newa3

The 5 door hatch shown here is still a little while away. (2005 I guess?)

The tail lights on these (official?) pics are very Nuvolari, aren't they? Based on the spy pics (see below from link above), I was expecting them to be very close to the A8 style....

that nose job just puts me off sooo much.

Dare I say it, it reminds me of the new Alfa 156 sportswagon (with the updated nose). Isn't the new Audi style chief ex-Alfa?

Well I just saw one in the flesh (new A3 2.0 FSI) at audi Brisbane. They look stunning. Especially considering they are in "low rent" trim. The interior is at least as good as the s3 if not better. The round air vents, the extra aluminium on the controls, the better use of piano black finish especially integrated into the back door trims and better integrated rear seat belts were the standout points for me.

For god's sake it even had an s3 steering wheel (without the badge).

I love the exterior - much more sporty IMHO but I can understand why some people wouldn't like the nose. I think the nose is fantastic and looks even better with some of the more aggressive mods (like the purple RS6 mock up floating around). The lines are also cleaner - makes the older a3's look fussy.

The old yellow s3 next to it still didn't look to bad - it holds its own design well. The new is better though.

my 2c.

that's good to hear. I've heard in a few places that it looks better in the flesh... I hope to agree with you, when I see one!

James, it most definitely looks a heap better in the flesh. The whole car overall does not look as harsh on the curves then most of the pics I've seen. I guess thats just normal folk trying it be photographers...

I'm sorry but the whole waterfall front end on the New Audi's just doesn't do anything for me at all :thumbs_dn: :thumbs_dn: :thumbs_dn:

TTish interior

yes and no. The plastics and textures on the rings for the air vents (which I think is the main thing that makes it look TTish) is different from what I can remember. When I saw it in the flesh it didn't "feel" like a TT - but I didn't sit in it.

... and I don't own a TT :)

Looks very nice inside.

Font looks weird but very mean.
I think it's something you will grow to love.
