Anyone have an idea about the market price of the older A3's once the new one comes out? Cars usually drop in price once a new model is released... does that apply to Audis the same way it applies to Commodores and the like??

Im after a 98 model turbo, would it be worth it to wait a few more weeks or do you guys think the prices will stay the same on the second hand market?

PS i called Audi Parramatta today and they said the 1.8 and 2.0 litres should be on sale by next week (at around $50k) while the 3.2 monster comes out later this year (around $85k!).

cheers

I agree with Mike people wont be able to afford the new A3 so it will push demand up for old A3 diminishing supply :D

hence prices will go up 8)

I knew economics at uni would be useful one day

Doubt they will go up.. A3/S3 are garden variety run of the mill stuff, theres lots around and no one would pay extra for a old car unless it was exclusive or something..

It is possible to drive "in a spirited fashion" without being mechanically harsh or unsympathetic....
