hi all,

while hunting down my desired A3t, i came across a few a3t that has sport suspention in it. i'm asking those a3 owners out there that has the sport suspension fitted by audi (i believe it's a factory option) comparing to the normal suspension.

how well do they handle? are they stiffer rate? how do they compare to aftermarket springs?

thanks for all replies.

All A3Ts have "sports suspension", ie. different springs to non turboed A3s. Not sure what the exact difference is, but the A3T sits a little lower and I expect the spring rates are increased.

Still, quite a few A3Ts cop further suspension upgrades ranging from springs / shocks through to coilovers.... Chux, XXX-18T, over to you....

stock A3T suspension is pretty good ... if you want something that understeers like crazy and has heaps of body roll.

seriously though ... the stock ride is really smooth compared to coilovers with bigger rims. coilovers on stock rims is still really smooth but you just do get the sideways grip of the wider wheels.

daily driver ... keep the stock suspension ...

daily driver with OPH runs every couple of weeks ... get the coilovers :-)
