are you talking about just changing the panel filter for a sports panel filter?
In which case, yes, and it made a difference.
or do you mean removing the whole airbox and replacing with a pod filter?

I replaced mine with a pod filter, which is kind of a hard job if you dont know what you are doing. If you are just changing the air filter its not hard I think just unclip the box and swap it over. dont think you have to disconect the air flow meter

sorry if this is changing the original question but how does changing your panel filter to a 'sports' one compare to taking out the whole box and replacing it with a pod filter. In terms of restrictivness?

Hi all,

I fitted a Pod filter on Sunday. Results are great! :_b:

I followed the K&N instructions as per attached link;

The thing b5s is the CAT is right next to the air-box, which I think its a poor design, if you go for a pod set up, wouldn't it suck in more hot air?

keeping the stock airbox does suck in colder air...however with a bit of playing around and some patience you can build yourself a heat shield that works pretty well...or you can build a pod into the original airbox...if you want a good heat shield pre fabed blinktek design makes one...about 160 delivered.

I saw that on Audizine.com, IMO $160 just for the heat shield is abit much, I might do a custom one over the holidays. :D
