View Full Version : New A5 owner :)
G'day all,
After 2 Audi A4's, my wife and I decided that the A5 was just to sexy to pass by. So later this month will be dropping the old B7 A4 2.0TSI Quattro Sline, and picking up a new A5 2.0TSI Quattro Sline S-tronic, Meteor Grey with Ipod connectivity and phone adapter.
We wanted the B&O but alas there are none in the country at the moment ( only 3.2's ) and we were taking advantage of the current Audi Sale to save quite a bit on the car.
Can't wait to pick it up :kiss_rings:
They also let me sit in the R8 V10 they have on the showroom and have a good look around the car, the $357,000 price tag of the car was a bit hard to swallow though :)
Cheers
Duma

Congrats Duma, I like the looks of the A5 a lot, We were looking at A4,s very recently to replace our A3. I am tryinggggg very very hard to convince my better half that the A5 is better.
At this stage she is starting to look at TT's, I have convinced her that if you lower those 2 stupid back seats, that there is enough room for "THE SHOPPING!"
btw Duma, Is the A4 B7 up for sale? I have a friend looking for 1. pm me if it is.
G'day :)
All excited here, still a week or a bit before we take the keys.
cyt: Penfold Audi on Burwood Hwy, spoke to Sean who was nice and not at all pushy :)
PeterW: If you had a 2 door A3 or if you only used the back seats say 2-3 times a yeah the A5 is your baby. Its a little more expensive but have your wife sit in a S-line model and tell me she won't perfer it. Seriously, the inside is to die for and we also were going for another A4 but once my wife saw inside the car ( BTW seats are the same in the S-line A4 as it is in the A5 from what i can see ), she was bought :)
The back seats are full size, but the leg room isn't great. You can live back there for short times, When we took one for a spin ( 2.0TSI S-tronic ) the salesman sat behind us and he was ok with enough room to. But if you are over 6 foot it will be a problem. Really, if you take people once in awhile, the A5 is a no brainer. It looks so much better than the A4 by miles :)
Never drove a S-tronic before, but it sure is fun :) Even if you are buying a manual or other box, I'd recommend trying out the S-tronic, it sure is a great gear box, my wife loved the "D" position, I perfered the manual or S position :woah1:
Sorry, our low km A4 2.0T Quattro was traded in as we normally do, they gave us pretty good trade in due to the low kms and condition of my "baby" :)
Cheers

no way, thats huge discount. how did you negotiate a car to drive for 1.5 months with a deal like that?

Wow thats an awesome price.
Not sure what your specs are but a 2.0TFSI Multi with no options (not even metallic paint) would be $77,744 d/a.
So @ $65k, thats 19% off!
It would be even more (% off) if it was higher spec'd
