AC noise on B4 2.6.

Aircon is making a noise occassionally. It is blowing nice cool air but I have noticed
a noise which seems to be coming from the front right vent. It sounds a bit like a noisey blow fly
about to die - about the best way I can describe it. It has happened twice in last week after same drive route i.e
turn ac on drive 15 mins in suburbs, hit open road drive for 1 hour ac working beautifully in 35 degree heat slow
down as destination area approaches, blow fly noise intermittently.. Anyone got any ideas or experienced anything similar.
Just a little worried that something bad is about to happen to the ac.

Does your car have a cabin filter? Check under plastic shield covering the plenum chamber in front of the passenger.
If you don't have a filter (should it be there?), has leaves etc reached the fan?

Worth checking before you panic.
