Hi guys just purchase a rs3 and I'm having difficulty finding a tuner in Perth. Unable to find a dealer for APR or ABT. Other suggestions?
I'm only after stage one..... for the time being.

You could try Laborde Motorsport in Perth. I think Falco on here has some experience with them.

Eurocare in Burswood is an official APR dealer.
Eurospec in Balcatta have a good rep
Eliteeuro in wangara
Ramp Auto Group in Malaga

All of these guys are able to offer off the shelf tunes. I'm not sure which of them offer custom dyno tunes though if thats what you're after.

Just to name a few :)

Tune booked in a weeks time. $1695inc. They have done one RS3 previously.

What is the experience with dealers attitude towards it? Do you remove the file prior to service?

I don't let Audi anywhere near my Audi, if you know what I mean. I get mine serviced at Ramp

I can recommend Ramp also.

They do a great job and have very reasonable prices, especially compared to Audi stealerships.

I totally agree with bringing a car to a specialist rather than back to the dealer, but in order to maintain OP's new car warranty, i'm assuming he would have to? I've never owned a new car.. so i wouldnt know though haha

Difinately don't need to take to dealer for warranty. Only some dealer extended warranties require that. Though dealers try to tell you otherwise.

there was a big law case a while back about non-dealer servicing voiding warranties.

It was ruled to be anti-competitive by the courts and now, as long as you get your book stamped by a qualified mechanic, then the dealer must honour the warranty

Can you attach a link? I cannot find this on the net.

Hi don!

Yes, we are able to do tuning on many Audi/VW models. If you have any questions flick me an email;
labordemotorsport@outlook.com.au

Our pricing is highly competitive and we include a full diagnostics session with the tune. Every piece of data we read from your car in the scan we share with you in a report as well.

Worth it? Cost to gains. Seems besides bolting on a supercharger that theres really not much out there. ECU cost is circa $2k for less than a 5% gain in power. Same for cold air intake and exhaust the same.

The 4.2 seems squeezed to the max.

No?

My SQ5 TDI is going in for a Stage 1 at Ramp Auto in early April. It will be a Recode Tuning System tune.

Hi All,
My SQ5 has been tuned with quoted figures being 296Kw and 790Nm. My buttometer tells me the car is definately quicker by quite a margin.

Cheers

I'm taking my FL S3 to Eurospec Automotion in Balcatta next week for a stage 1 "SpecTune". They do dyno before and after rather than just plug & plug like APR. Phil has a very good reputation in the VAG community. Will report back.

Update: Just got car back from Eurospec. Decided to get shop to upgrade the turbo inlet, inlet hose, remove snow grate and dremel out the intake while doing the stage 1 tune (and regular service. Dyno engine output -> before = 226kw/376NM, after = 272.5kw/450Nm. First drive was mostly in traffic but could feel the difference in torque even under light throttle. Got one good solid blast in and I'm one happy camper. Thoroughly recommend Phil and the team at Eurospec for those in Perth.

nice results on a stage 1 tune... that's a big increase for dyno figures :bounce_cl:
