Yeah, i remeber going from my old 83 rx7, loved it, but not quite fast enough, not enough brakes, got into teh liberty rs, faster, went round corners faster even though it didnt' hadnle sw well and it braked MUCh better... took me 2 weeks to decide it wasn't fast enough, so a few mods later, maybe 250hp (0-100 about 5 sec). then onto some suspension work tis been pretty handy the last few years, but really you have to plan ahead and really ring it out to make it go. 1 drive in the quattro and i'm overtaking where i would have given a second look in the RS... the way it build speed so easily...and then it goes around corners in a way the subaru doesn't.
anyway its good, needs some sorting (for that price i expected it to) so it'll be a while before i'm happy... or less nervous that it'll have a failure
now its not as good as my mates GTR (we drove back together) which is faster handles and stops better (definately stops better). it feels to me like crosing my old rx7 with my mates gtr, you come up with a quattro... and not anything like a subaru :D

The brakes were a little sketchy and the Radiators don't seem to be all that reliable but Rob Garnsworthy came up with a good solution to both of these problems with a little help from Derek at Motorsport Engineering. Rob is a great bloke to talk to so drop him a line if you feel the need to upgrade these items his details are in this area of the forums somewhere.

yes well at the moment its just going to get driven about very sedatelt till i get all the bugs ironed out, then we can work on stuff from there :D ... i mean the brakes stop ok, just work very diferently to brakes i'm used to...
at the moment there seems to be only 1 problem, i'm hitting thre boost cut occasionally and i get the odd miss under full boost, possibly the crap fuel we have down here, or its in good need of a service, ... or it something bad...
on the topic of radiators, someone thankfully installed a temp guage, it sits at 80 (celsius) when driving and will go up to 95 in traffic, as in stopped for a good long while.
