If you have an accident and you ARE NOT AT FAULT, you are entitled to claim a free rental car against the other person's insurance...
It is true, and many forum members have done this in the past.
The logic is that seeing as you were not at fault, why should you be penalised. With some simple paper work, you fill out a form, request/demand a rental from their insurance for as long as it takes to get your car back on the road.
