Fairly common problem for diesels. I have the same engine in a q5 and I had the same problem. I opted for a flash tune, disabling the EGR system (the cause of sludge buildup) and removal of the swirl...
Somewhat related, I live in Perth and get a similar issue. My car is a 2011 q5 with an aftermarket carplay unit installed. I use my pixel 6 plugged in but my wife uses it full wireless. Whenever she...
I doubt she would be into that. She does like my Q5 for height/practicality etc but is worried it might be too big for her, hence the Q3. We have seen a few and test drove etc, just looking for the...
She hates wagons, i'm lucky to be getting an SUV past her...
She also needs the height as she has a dodgy back so i want to minimise any lifting of children in/out of cars.
Great question, we have had a look at a couple although not test driven any. I have an 8R Q5 which is a good size, wife isn't sure if getting a second Q5 is the right idea though. I've tried...
All sorted. Thanks. Please close.
Nice one. Did you change shocks too?
I'm going for the Bilstein b12 kit in a few months.

Nice work. Interested to hear feedback on the brake performance differences. I'm in two minds about brake changes to my q5. I'm thinking about changing to the standard 4 pot caliper, same as what you...
Any updates on the shared workspace?

Have got the Pirellis on my Q5 and happy with the comfort/performance characteristics. Have run contis and Kumho in the past with no issues either.
I'd just get everything fixed or parts supplied and labour discounted off purchase price or something else and move on from this all. Car dealers are up there with lawyers etc.
Avoid the stress.
Bummer about all the dramas you are having dude. Hope you get it sorted out soon and drama free.
3.0TDI. I didn't even know the 3.0TFSI was an option in Australia until i purchased mine. Thats ok, i still enjoy it and got it for a steal.
Great start. Will be following with interest for inspiration on my Q5.
Cheers
Nice pickup. The s/c V6 are a great motor.
I wonder why Audi went back to the turo diesel in the SQ5? What was wrong with the V6T in the B9 chassis?
I didn't realise they went back to the TDI. There you go, don't listen to me.
Get the B9 SQ5? V6 turbo might be more up your alley?
Hello from Perth.
Don't have facebook and as others have said the reference material available on forums is second to none.
Not really. I have a Q5 with some plans to do things over time, but time is something i don't really have...
What are you driving in Perth now?
Welcome, good to see more Perth based people.
Not an SQ5 owner but Q5 owner.
Just noticed it has poorly plasti-dipped badges, mirror covers and probably front grille, some things to be aware of which might indicate other "cheap" or...
Getting mine installed on a 2011 Q5 on Monday. Will let you know how it goes. Price from memory was ~$900-1000 drive away.
Welcome. This forum is pretty quiet these days. Not sure where everyone hangs out now? Facebook?
I'll keep an eye out for an S3 with black wheels.
Cheers
Hi All,
Long time listener, first time caller. Just picked up a 2nd hand 2011 Q5 3.0 TDI S-line. Love the car, looking at doing a few things over time to make it mine, but ultimately just enjoying...
