Removing and fitting a new Rear Valance

The replacement valance.


Note snap in lugs which need to carefully located into bumper assembly..


Ramps make the job that much easier but aren't totally necessary.


A hefty yank of the valance at either extreme will free the first of the lugs.


Then "peel off" from both extremes towards the middle.


Naked bumper.


Locate lugs into retainers on bumper at one end and give a hefty push or punch to seat lugs.


Continue to other end.


Make sure all lugs are securely positioned. Note it is probably wise to put a SS self tapper though one of the lugs at either end., as the stiffness of the replacement valance in CF or GRP will most likely be far stiffer than the OEM plastic unit it replaces. This can cause the valance to work its lugs out of their retainers.
