Trust you are on the mend mate. Health is one of those things we take for granted isn't it mate? A bit like boost on a cold winter morning!
    Take care

I'm really quite moved by the sentiment guys.
The sense of community, as always, is something else here.

So what did you have wrong with you? - If you want to tell us of course, otherwise please excuse the question!
Of course you can ask Matty. To cut a long story short suffice to say that I went into RPA for a routine replacement for a contingently defective heart valve.
As you guys might suspect I ticked the box for the carbon and SS model. The procedure went diabolically wrong when five days later the SS wire attached to my sternum (chest bone) to secure closure of my chest pulled through the bone and broke it. Another op ensued but there was no way to secure chest cavity closure, so my chest was left open for eight days while a carbon part replacement for my sternum was fabricated. Procedure was then completely successful although the plastic surgeon neglected to include the pecs I'd asked for.

Aaron I don't think can be any doubt as to who has rightful claim to be Doctor Carbon now. I’ve now committed my whole existence to CF.

Justin Beiber? .....did he come and go while I was away? Just kidding ...after a forced diet of breakfast TV I know.
Actually Karl I'm really disappointed with you...I did think once or twice in my delirious mind that you were sure to have overtaken my posting count in my hiatus.

Couldn't handle the Stage 3 Remap?
Yeah you could say that Damien...the day I was admitted I was due in Melbourne to look at R8's so I could start all over again.

Hi Larry, good to see you back and sorry to hear of your troubles, it is amazing how often what is a routine and everyday procedure can go wrong. All the best with the recovery.

With a 25mm+ tube stuck down your gullet while watching the pimples on a ceiling tile form themselves into a battle line to rush across the ceiling to attack the vanes of an air conditioning diffuser on the wall and other even weirder narcotic hallucinations, its strange how the will to post, even to here, withers and dies.
