Default The start of something allroad! a wagons journey :-)

G'day guys, well today it started. What you may ask? the modified allroad that's what! not much just yet but enough to make me excited about the future of her! today was really just some dress up and cleaning of the engine bay, we replaced the Diverter Valves and silicone hoses, added some new engine covers and a new Y pipe a friend worked on for me, I wanted a look that was still eye catching but not over the top or too boy racer (not that there's anything wrong with it , just not my style) so we decided on riveted steel airbrushing and I like the results so far!

hope you like the beginnings guys!

Hi guys! I'm back and with another update! I've had 2 weeks off work and thought it'd be the best time to go hard with 'Helga' time while I don't need her that she can get some paint, new shoes, tinting & exhaust work

So, I had the bumpers, flares and side skirts all colour matched to the silver body, and I gotta say it really lifts the overall appearance and cleanliness. Next I had a 20% tint done and a new set of 19x8.5 wheels with an et15 fitted, I think the style and colour is the perfect choice too, I just love looking at it!

next up was the exhaust, I bought the 3inch dump pipes from the turbo from project B5 and had my mechanic sort the full 3 inch system for me, it sounds on idle and lower speeds like a throaty 300ZX, when the revs build it does get a little 'blatty' but evens out and has next to no drone on the highway, so overall at this stage i'm a very happy man!

so here's some images from when i got her and how she looks sitting in my drive!

When I got 'Helga' she was a little unloved.

    And NOW! sooooo much better!

and there she is, i hope you like the look, catch you later!

Car looks great don't actually mind the ccw reps. Did you get your engine cover from ecs? If so how do you find the figment? Got some for my s4 and I find the figment to be average

Looks great with the colour coding. Interesting look on the Y-pipe too.

Thanks guys! glad you approve of the look the Carbon covers did indeed come from ECS and the fitment is actually quite good, only one bolt had to be screwed in at an angle due to the pre drilled mounting hole being slightly off the mark. I drove her for a good drive today and she went well although the wheels need to be balanced again, I experienced a bit of shuddering at certain speeds but nothing dangerous.

Next up I suppose is just maintenance and interior! I have a couple of small things for inside planned but that's all that's needed really as from factory it's a great fit, finish and feel! if anyone has any ideas or things they've seen that might look good then please shoot me a line and show me!

Have you got any Video/audio of the exhaust? What brand 3" DP's are they?
I'm wanting to go 3" DP's into a single 3.5" system on mine.

    So tune next I assume?

Hi verse1 no vid yet I don't know how to get it from my phone onto the computer? the dp's I bought from PROJECT:B5 — Home it sounds really really nice on start up and lower speeds, but it's a bit too loud for my tastes when i put the foot right down, imagine a 300zx or skyline on song? I'd like her to be a touch more subtle but I'll keep you posted as I go, I'm thinking of changing the two rear mufflers? the dp kit cost me about 600 shipped and got to me in 3-4 days! but the exhaust shop still had to do a fair bit of fabrication to get it all done, the problem was getting the old system out.
