    Default Auto electrician - Adelaide

Anyone know a good auto electrician in the Adelaide area?

Air bag light is on, passenger side fix worked, driver's side fix failed x3 and now steering wheel airbag fault indicated on VAGcom scan.

Depends where you are. I'm in the hills and Adelaide Hills Auto Electrical at Bridgewater have done some good work for me in the past. Know what they are talking about and don't charge an arm and a leg. Not sure if they are up to speed on the latest VAG products tho.

Steering wheel airbag faults are often caused by a clock spring failure. The clock spring is an enclosed wire coil harness that allows for the steering wheel to go about its day job while giving you things like stereo adjustments, cruise control and gear shifting on the wheel - plus, of course, the airbag.

If it's failed it will require replacement - not a difficult job.
