    Pete

Can you post up the pics you took? Some of the guys might be very interested in what's under the bonnet...

Have to say I don't understand the plumbing except that it's all pretty big. Especially the inlet pipe into the TB. And scruffy! Note the blue hose stuffed into the end of the orange one.

Anyone know what sort of turbo it is?

I think I've seen this at a dyno day once before. I think Lucas the giac affiliated guy was driving it and it was a .82 A/R Holset Turbo on a custom manifold that a friend of his welded up.

Yes this would be the one which sold recently.

GT2860RS off memory. I could be mistaken, but its not hard to forget that there were two of these B5's being built at around the same time. One you are very familiar with Kerry (Lucas) with the GT35R, whilst the other (and this example) being his off sider with the nickname STASIK.

I guess the forum heads-that-be are relaxed now, or weren't aware to sniff out the prior (arguable) 'issues' which were scouted around before the green one came online. Good to see that the car is being used as intended.

That orange hose you see into the blue coolant line is actually a heat-resistant cover.

Ha ha - Lucas was (and still may be) the importer or main agent for GIAC. He's a bit crazy but I liked him and always found him very straight. He did me a couple of GIAC setups (nothing very advanced) which went well and his after-sales was fantastic. He drove up from Melbourne a couple of times to sort out quite minor problems. We still exchange the odd email.

He was banned from the forum years ago for persisting in bagging out GIAC competitors (most of which were APR - you might see the connection...)

See my previous post about Lucas. I think he had a 35R at the time he gave me a ride past the old Parliament House in Canberra. From a standing start he was doing around 200 by the time we reached the Japanese tour buses. I left my brain at the previous intersection and there's a bunch of Japanese tourists who probably haven't recovered to this day. On second thought, he might be more than a little crazy

There was a write-up about his car somewhere and it was dyno'ed at 600+kW or 600+ HP, I can't remember which. Lucas was still taking his kids to pre-school in the car and it still the child booster seats in the back...

Two things about the car strike a chord - it was the same metallic dark blue colour and every time I saw under the bonnet it was like a plumber's back yard. So it could be his. Maybe stolen or auctioned as a write-off? I don't think I met STASIK (also Croatian?) or saw his car. But I have an idea he was banned as well. Happy to be corrected on that.
