B7s didn't have dual clutch boxes (aka S tronic or DSG). The Quattro autos were all the traditional torque convertor type.
This may be a simple answer for some here, but new to Audi I have given up! Have a B7 2.0 TFSI Quattro, just bought, am considering an ARP chip upgrade, so contacted a local EURO specialist and he said he needed to know what trans. I say 6 speed tiptronic, he asks for the vin, so I supply that and he gets back to me and says it's a DSG and can be tuned ok. I find the gearbox code HYH (from a code identifier) but no reference between DSG and HYH? Are they the same or am I complicating things?

You definitely do not have a DSG gearbox. So called Euro specialist should have known this. Have you thought about going a Revo Tune?
Ok so I obviously need to rethink. Happy to listen why a Revo opposed to an ARP?
cheers Ian
Assuming your mean APR (and not ARP?), then both are reputable and you can't really go wrong with either company's Stage 1 offerings.
Not sure who's a Revo dealer in QLD. But you can also try Bayside Performance Services or E-Tuners Brisbane.
Will do, appreciate the heads up
