Have you got any video of the S1 at the strip, would love to see what the manual can do down the 1/4 mile. Obviously the S-tronic will be much quicker but keen to see the video if you have it?

We've sold 16 kits so far, but I'm not sure any of them are members on here.

I don't sorry - we've never taken it out as we know the numbers aren't going to be super impressive.

Every time there's an event on (drags, roll racing, happy laps) I always grab the keys to the Golf R...

How about the drift box then, you got 3 seconds to 100kph in the Golf R? The only times I've seen for your your S1 was in BFYB in Motor (December 2016) and it ran a 5.77 to 100kph which is slower than stock? Granted Motor provided bad fuel to the field in BFYB 2016, and you didn't have the full tune, but for R&D I thought you'd have at least pulled one run down the strip in the S1 to see what it can do with fresh fuel and the full stage 3 tune?

Unfortunately not sorry - I'd suspect it would run somewhere in the mid to high 3's to 100kph. We recently got a PB in the Golf R clocking 2.9s last Wednesday night. The S1 is currently being moved on for a new, more applicable, project.

Well sure would be nice to see some reviews of the kit.. Perhaps you could encourage someone from the 16 to post up their thoughts and impressions here on the forum. Im sure it would be good for business!

We recently completed another Stage 3+ installation on a MK7 Golf R and this is what the customer had to say after a week of driving.

    This car is fitted with;

    • Racingline Stage 3 turbocharger
    • Autotech upgraded HPFP
    • Racingline intercooler
    • Racingline R600 intake including silicone hose and turbo elbow
    • Milltek Sport 3" catted downpipe to stock cat-back
    • Harding Performance Stage 3 DSG software (stock clutches)

Everything else on this car is standard right down to the tyres - although we've stressed to the customer that a brake upgrade needs to be completed ASAP!

    Guy, Jon and Byron,

I've had the Golf back for a week now after getting the Stage 3 kit installed and am very happy with the results of the upgrade.

I had the Stage 1 kit for about 10 months and the performance increase from that alone was amazing. But nothing compares to the change with the addition of the the full Stage 3 kit

As you are aware the car is completely stock but it continues to handle the power and torque increases without fuss. Although if the right foot goes too far down, the traction control does have to do a bit of extra work.

I do want to the say how good it is driving around town. I am out on the road visiting clients every day and the upgrade has not changed the drive-ability of the car at all. I've just got to be more mindful of speed limits as the Golf jumps very quickly to them and beyond when pressed.

I can't wait to get it onto the track to see what it can do for the quarter mile since the goal was that 11 sec mark.

    Thanks again.
