Trying to install stepper motor boost gauge.. wiring correct??

Refering to pic! From left to right

U see how i joined the red green black wires from the sender with the wire that plugs to the gauge.. is this right or am i suppose to add more wires and split them into 2 connects from the sender? One lot connecting to the gauge and the other to the car ground and 12v +.. seems like lots of wires for a sender unit if thats the case

The middle short wire with the plugs on both end does nothing.. used for linking. So i dont worry abt it?

To the right lot of wires.. the black red white yellow. Black i run it to the ground in fuse panel. Yellow to ignition? And red and white can join together and tap into headlight switch.. ie. The grey/blue?
