Default Audi has changed the way it names its cars and it makes absolutely no sense

    The question is why..?

    https://drivetribe.com/p/audi-has-ch...source=network

The model naming system will stay the same (A3, A8, Q7 etc) but an additional two numbers will be added next to the engine badging on the right hand side of the bootlid. These two digits will represent the power output of the engine, but have no connection to the numerical bhp, PS or kW figure in the slightest.
Me: MY16 Audi S3 Daytona Grey
Mrs : MY16 VW Polo GTI Pure White

    Yeah- stoopid....

Decision made after the marketing team annual boozefest?

I'm giving this 2 years max before they realise that nobody can make sense of the nomenclature.

Bunnings will be selling more heat guns.
Cat. red RS3, PP and assist and a MY16 Golf GTI....

So what badge goes on the RS3. It doesn't line up with any of them

Annoying. I love audi for the classy minimalism.

I was thinking of this the other day.

It's one of those things you can't keep constant.
