good luck with the sale mate,,,, even has the correct wheels .....nice
1981 Audi quattro in silver with Brown interior, same as the very first launch 1980 Geneva show car. This quad headlamp quattro is a first year of production car so very rare now.
One other very rare thing, is it is a car without a sunroof. Nearly all quattros had sunroofs. This car starts and drives but is a restoration project.
Mechanically its fine but the body is average. It needs to be restored properly with rust in the RHR quarter from a poor repair at some stage. This car is one of the very early Audi Sport UK right hand drive conversions done by Brian Rickets. Audi copied his conversion and made right hand drive avail. from 1983 on.I believe this car came to Australia some time in the late 1980's or early 1990's. The first owner in Australia was not 100% when he bought it from the dealer who imported it.
I have had it about 5 years in my Audi collection and had plans to restore it but I just have to many cars and not enough time with work pressures.
I already have another quattro so I'd like someone to restore this one and I'm happy to assist with advice and information. I have been owning various quattros since 1988. This is my 5th urquattro.
With quattro's now selling for over $60k in Australia this car would be easily around that range once restored.$27,990
Call or message me if you want to have an inspection.

Please no low ball offers via text without seeing the car.
This rare early car needs to go to an enthusiast to be properly brought back to its former glory.

Thanks. Yep original wheels and date stamped from '81.
Hi everyone - I am the owner of the 1985 Coupe on CarSales
It has been on and off the site for a while as I have been slowly cleaning it up since last year import from UK
Had to sort compliance but there were a bunch of small items I have been fixing up - left window didnt work, new Pirelli PZero etc, dash was not calibrated correctly (I sent to Pete in UK at Scorpion Racing and he did amazing job for 200 GBP !) and so on, new stereo, service and so on
But I really have no place for it in my garages unfortunately and have made a decision I really am going to sell
Price negotiable to genuine enthusiast etc - but really is a very good original example and happy to chat with anyone interested - I did take a call from that Museum in Gosford, they need one !

The OP sold his car in April so I don't think he cares :)
