    Haha I know the feeling!

Do you have it running yet?

I'm ready to buy it if you are ready to sell it, let me know!

    Cheers,

Its not even at my place, Its still in Launching place, I was going down to trailer it up to Sydney this week, but I dont have enough time, so its to be the following week,
I purchased a 3.5tonne 17ft galvanised tilting trailer just for this job, The previous owner is gracious enough to store it in his shed for 3 months now while I have been battling with time to go and get it.
I plan to get it running and registered ASAP, I want to daily it while I fit a 5cly to my Audi 80 quattro

hang on , hang on- build plate says 1990?

Dumped the old fuel- left the oil in it- looks fresh enough, starts but not injecting Fuel post start up. it will run on occasionally for a few more sec. - some trouble shooting for next week (i did lift the airflow measure flapper thing but that doesnt help) it has a aftermarket immobiliser but i figured out how to get the fuel pump run and crank engine- so pretty sure its not that

It looks like K-jetronic, did some quick research on how it all works, fairly straight forward, devised some tests for Monday, need to get it going so I can get it out of harms way, its a sitting duck where it is right now
(prying eyes from wifey!) I not sure of the answer when if she finds it and says WTF! where did that come from? kind of questions... I could say it belongs to Chris?

you never know Chris, but dont get your hopes up, by the way that pic of a 90 few posts back, is that yours? looks great. It dawns on me now that some of these older Audiis had fantastic paint jobs, the red one has zero orange peel and Im pretty sure it all paint and no top coat clear. Thats some marvelous paint gun work, The 90 you have in that post above has the same deep paint (and colour) of my 94 Convertible, I thought that was a one off and had some paint work done but now I see its factory finish- WOW.

Finally got the 90 fwd going, turns out the return at the tank was completely blocked, and subsequent over pressure in the injector unit kept the fuel flow closed, ran a temp fuel line off the FPR return port directly to the filler cap and she kept going after firing up! , had to punch the inside of the port in the tank out with a hammer and steel rod! easy to bleed the brakes with my compressed air reg set at 5 psi- the brake reservoir isnt shot because it hasnt had uv exposure! had a really loud lifter tick (one only i think) but a double dose of MBL additive cleared that up within a minute, changed the oil and filter and had her round the block a couple of times. Ive now made room in the shed for her till I get her registered.

I had the same issue but managed to dislodge the the buildup. After that was done it fired up 1st time. Just need to bleed the clutch then ready for a paddock run.
