Today we're going to have a look at our retrofit of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in to this 2015 Audi Q5.
You'll notice we have the factory nav screen up. To switch to CarPlay we push and hold the original nav button that then takes
us into the main menu. In the main menu we have Android Auto, Apple Mirroring, CarPlay, Android Mirroring, etc. So in
this demonstration we're going to have a bit of a closer look at Apple CarPlay.
Select that, which then loads the CarPlay features. So it's taking us into the nav, using the home button on the buttom left
will take us back to the main menu. Here we see the different options available. These options are ever expanding as Apple
brings out new features that integrate in with CarPlay. Good news is as your phone updates the system will automatically
update in the background and the new apps will just appear as you install them on your phone.
To give you a quick demonstration of how we enter an address...
So when we try a destination that has mutiple options, you see that it actually gives the ability to choose these options
rathen than select in one for you.
The voice control functionality can be also be operated from the steering wheel.
My name's Jarrod Shelley from Autofidelity.
Thanks for watching!

impressed also, I checked the website but docent look like the kit will fit my 2010 a5 3.0 tdi although the dash looks very similar...
If you’re located at in Vic I’d encourage you to give Jarrod at Autofidelity a call. I’d suggest it will probably be fine. Jarrod has a pre facelift A5 3.0 Tdi himself and he has it installed.
And if you’re not in Vic I’d recommend a trip. It’s worth it.

Does anyone know someone or somewhere in Perth I can get Carplay installed? I've read a whole lot of websites but I still can't work out if my Q5 2010 3.0 TDI is MMi or non MMi?!
Would appreciate any help/advice please? Thanks.
