    Can anyone recommend a good super-fine cut and polish?

    A regular polish has a very fine cutting action to remove fine swirls etc.
    It depends what you're trying to achieve.

    Exactly.
    You may not need any "cutting" action at all. What is the state of your paint, & is the car out in the sun/weather etc much?

    Best compound iv ever used.
    Pair it to with any of your favourite polishes and ya good to go. Works anything with a rotary wool pad and rupes DA pads.
    Highly recommend 3M
