Thread: Christmas time

    Default Christmas time

It's that time of the year. Some presents to self arrive early, some late. The new front ARB is on a slow boat from Germany but hopefully January will see it here. The number of manufacturers of B5 parts is diminishing rapidly so a case of get in while you can. For these parts it was a toss up between 034 and AK. I have parts from both and this time AK got the nod. Now just waiting...........................zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

I agree about B5 parts drying up, it's far less then what it was around 2 years ago when I first got mine.

I'm tempted to go and spend a heap, but I've just dumped ~1.2k on my computer this week.. lol

    Oooh love Christmas presents!

Interesting to see your feedback on the new ABR. What did you end up getting? H&R?

Eibach 32mm. My assessment is that it will help balance the 25mm rear bar which is an overkill with the way my car is set up. OK around town and slowish speed corners but not balanced on high speed sweepers. Still loving the short shifter though.

Still, now you can browse for B5 parts on an uprated computer so there is always an upside. Is that your Present to self?

Been wanting an 8700k system for a while now, on a 3770k at the moment at 4.4Ghz if anyone knows anything about that.

Will be a massive upgrade from what I have, this is all from 2011/2012 and what I am getting is 2017/2018 stuff.

So to answer your question; Yes :P

Running an 8705G, swift browsing and a 4K screen. Does it all for me.

Had to look at what the 8705G was.

I do some gaming, so I have a GTX1080 on water with two 500GB SSD's and two 360mm rads (Basically the same size as small bike rads).

Yep, I find that when you're done gaming etc, you get to browse all the stuff you can't have in glorious colour, great definition and in milliseconds to boot. Enjoy your kit, sounds like fun.

Slow boat finally arrived. The last piece in this puzzle. Standout colour but hidden away by the under tray.
