Default B6 2004.5 6MT suspension tidy up time - Need recommendations

    Hey all,

Been quite a while since I visited and good to see some life still in here. My B6 2004.5 6MT is overdue for a bit of love and I need some recommendations on who/where understand Audi's and can do a professional job on:
    - full suspension replacement (OEM stuff is dead) (incl. strut top mounts but not bars)
-> not looking to go to race setup here, just replacing old with new at OEM height and stiffness. Car came with sports setup from the factory.
    - full bush replacement/upgrade under the car (all suspension, mounts, etc.)

Really looking for someone that does lots of Audi's so it's a "normal" activity for them.

    All suggestions appreciated.

Hey mate, not sure where you are located, but try European Autotech in Mona Vale. Did all the work on my B6 for the many years that I had it..

Yeah, sorry about that, I should have said that I'm in West Melbourne.

Most, if not all VAG specialists will have the suspension tools and knowledge to perform rebuilding/replacement of suspension components.
Are you including all engine mounts, gearbox mounts, diff mounts as well?
For durability you could look at using a heavy duty control arm kit and other misc bushings, ie (034 Motorsports or meyle HD)

If you're willing to travel a bit east there are plenty of great workshops, Volkswerke, Volkspower, Audvoks.
If not there is definitely plenty around inner melb.

I did my RS in late '17 (pretty much the same setup) and it isn't a difficult job. Can't help with mechanic recommendations but I would suggest that you take care with what you use as replacements. Poly Bushes are a bit of a specialist application and when the OE mounts / bushes last 14 years, they are a good option with no nasty surprises like noise transmission etc that some experience with poly. Buy quality parts, whether OE or one of the premium parts suppliers like lemforder. Absolutely make sure that whoever you choose replaces the "one use" bolts that are in the system and doesn't just re-use them. One of the recommendations given did work on my car 5-7 years ago and I found incorrect bolts used in the suspension when I went to replace parts. You'll find that the sports suspension setup is normally only the springs and dampers. Other suspension components (in my case) were used across the whole quattro range, so no sports bushes etc.
