    Hi Dirk,

Not on FB so anything done that way counts me out. I'd hope to go for the drive; apps, waze and CB is a bit like work. Analogue mate, just get in and keep the guy in front and behind in sight. Anyway, enjoy the drive, it's a good spin. We (Canberra Audi) did this a few years ago and had a great day.

    I hear what you're saying.
    The "KISS" principal applies.
fb groups are good for Events like this, as you can send an invite directly from your contacts & friends lists.

Unfortunately I'm in the camp that thinks you give far more than you get with FB. Some guy wrote a book (in 1949 - George Orwell) about where he thought technology was taking the world, 1984 wasn't it? Sadly, he got it all wrong. It's gone way past that.

all tongue in cheek as we still have the ability to choose not to :)

I'm amused! Orwellian concepts are well and truly surpassed, but the basic message still stands.. "Big Brother is watching you"

yeah, I dumped facebook a few months ago.

The amount of data that companies are collecting on me, and then selling on to advertisers/others, is wrong.
Even if you don't have a facebook account, browsers etc still on-sell your data to facebook/others...

Maybe it's just us old folk that worry about this. I think you start by not caring when you are younger, then start to get a bit more cynical/critical/less trusting of large corporations as you get older..

Agreed. Hope you're able to make it along for the drive. I'm happy to communicate via Private Message, with a couple of Contact names and Mobile numbers in your locality, from those willing to share.
I'll update the original post with various departure details. Some from Canberra, Sydney & Wolongong so far.
    Early days yet!
