    Default R8 Front Shocks

    Hi Guys,
Has anyone replaced the front shocks on a R8?
I want to get a price check as Audi are quoting $15K for both front and to me that seems over the top.
They are leaking a very slight amount of oil, Audi reckon they may need replacing in the next 12 - 18 months.
    Any thoughts or recommendations (Pedders????)
    Cheers,

Update - BWA will supply and fit OEM shocks for $7600.
    Big difference

I just don't move in R8 circles so the compatibility of a range of dampers with the R8 requirements is unknown to me. I can say that with the C5 RS6, aside from the variety of coil overs (Bilstein / KW et al) Bilstein do a B8 damper and KONI do a damper set that suit the RS6 for $1200 to $1600. For me that's a significant saving over BWA if you can find appropriate units. Clearly if you are not doing a full set then Factory are your only option.

    Thanks Guys,

Unfortunately with EA they were still around $2.5K on the high side. Audi Sydney came back with a revised price of $9.7K (good drop from $15K).

Haven't been able to find anyone else

I'll keep looking but I want it to be done in the 1st quarter of 2020.

    Cheers
