    Hi all,
got this mod done today recommended by a friend, I reckon is quite handy. Itís in the long coding in OBD11. Deactivate ďOvertaking Right PreventionĒ - to disable the ACC preventing overtaking a car in a right hand lane that is going slower than you are.

    default value: activated
    new value: deactivated

Hey Buddy, in OBD2 or VCDS etc give this a try, some reporting it works :

Control Unit -> Adaptive Cruise Control -> Long Coding -> Operation Mode (10th or so from bottom roughly) -> change to Operation_mode_2

For long coding in VCDS etc its control unit #13, Byte 14, default value hex is maybe usually 26, turn on bit 4 so its hex value 36. Save. Sec code 20103.

Changes the increment and enables long hold up/down too. Got this info from OBDEleven forums credit to "DV52", he might be lurking here somewhere?

Now to find out how to get VIM to work via VCDS. I can’t believe you can get it to work on OBD11!!!

Yes, OBD11 works well so far, but Iím sure VCDS can do a lot more.

does this help getting VIM via VCDS?

Ended up doing the oe black badge swap

Had to get creative removing front emblem as thereís no way to pry it off without damaging the grille - my patented screw n turf trick, also works on wheel caps
