Thread: B7 RS4 APR Clutch replacement

Default B7 RS4 APR Clutch replacement

Has anyone been onto their second clutch? Mine was slipping when I last tracked the car in the first 20minute session. Car drives fine but I can tell the pedal feel isn't what is used to be and is a lot further out to engage. Car has the Sachs Loba clutch and flywheel, but can't get the loba parts anymore so it will be just the Sachs option.

My qualm is I would like to do a few track days a year, but its really a Sunday car with some spirited driving.

Wondering whether to get the Performance rated clutch and flywheel rated for 530+nm or the racing for 600+nm.

Car has the earlier 1320 Apr kit with 510nm. I want to buy one before EOFY to claim it on tax this year.

    Cheers.

Thanks, pricing is through the roof though compared to Sachs.

JHM Stage 3 is another option. Not quite 'stock like' to drive but still streetable.

Yeah, but I didn't really have many options with the 1740...

Not much difference between the 1320 and 1740 kit. Thanks for the feedback tho.

I run the 4 puck clutch with a 1740 & it handles the power fine. It is a Loba kit and i actually ordered it from them years ago but all Loba do is modify the flywheel from what i can see.

There's very little slip with the 4 puck but i still manage it fine in traffic.

The clutch & pressure plate are the Sachs items listed in the following link.

I also has a 1320 on my car for a while and a single solid Sachs disk and it slipped when i pushed it a the drags but other than that it was fine.

1740 kit pumps 30% more air through the blower. 1320 runs out of air at about 6-6.5K rpm.

    Stock rs4 is good for 200kw ATW & a 13 sec 1/4 mile

    1320 RS4 is good for 300kw ATW & a 11.8 1/4 mile

1740 RS4 is good for close to 400kw ATW and has done a 10.5 1/4 mile

Going from a 1320 to 1740 is a significant difference in my option. Yes, I've had both.
