Keep in mind that different driving modes have an impact on the steering. Comfort for example will make the steering lighter and easier to turn whereas dynamic and even economy tend to make it heavier.
I have the 2017 facelift 1.4 COD sedan purchased a few weeks ago.
To me it feels the steering has gotten heavier since I bought it.
My understanding is that when the car is moving slowly - in a parking lot, for example - the power steering assistance should be greater and improve maneuverability.
Is there anything I can do to diagnose this myself? And should my car have this function?

Check tyre pressures, it could be low. I guess your model has electric steering...

Thanks all - I had an indi mechanic look at it - he doesn't think there is a fault. I do know (and he agrees) the tyres are rubbish and need to be replaced (previous owner over-inflated them).
