My thoughts are that the engine and gearbox are not that likley to fail or as difficult to find if they did. The parts like some panels, many sensors, knobs, switches and electronic components, sun roof, some suspension parts etc are where it is at. I did the engine and gearbox thing for both the RS cars as they are unique and get a beating to boot. I have some space, so atm it's not a major issue to keep it. An example is the rear spring turrets where ours are pristine, UK for example rust out and they are NLA so fetching really good money. One of the aftermarket Euro places has even started making subframes and turrets.
