Engine Light 2010 Allroad

Hi I have a 2010 Allroad TDI. The other day the engine light came on solid. Still on. The book says it's emissions control which covers EGR, DPF, Cat etc etc. Havent had a chance to put the scan tool on yet as it came on just before I dropped it off to the paint shop for a panel touch up.
Does anyone know what the common cause is? It's done 145xxx kms and very good service history ie: Correct oil and changes every 8-9k.
Maybe just needs a good long run to do a DPF burn off? The cars systems doesn't indicate when it's doing one.

Without scanning the codes, it's anybodies guess...

My guess would be dpf problem/regen required..
