Don't go buddy, you are a driving force behind the forum!
All the best with the new car, it has been our pleasure having you on the site.

The time has come and the S4, as sensational as it is, has been prospectively sold or traded in for a new Lexus hybrid.
Good trade-in as it should be nothing the condition and lack of mileage.
I have enjoyed the forum and the dedication to the cause shown many of you.
Best wishes.

Thanks mate.
There are many good folk here and a few that will 'mature' in time!
All my Audis have been great cars but as the possibility of 'one more car' approaches I needed to move away from the cost of ownership issues that is endemic to this brand.
Anything on the plug-in hybrid line with Audi remains ridiculously expensive, hence the move to Lexus which should not disappoint.
Kind regards to you and appreciate your past support and insights.

I’d stick around on the Audi side of things now that they are going into F1.
Audi are going to be the new flavour pretty soon

Hmmmm ......
F1 = hybrid + power = Volvo XC60 Recharge with 344 kW
$50k less than anything equivalent in Audi.
Imagine using regenerative braking in an e-Audi and having to bear the cost of pad and rotor replacements every 18 months at Audi's prices.
I was loyal to the brand for nearly a decade until the **** who refers to himself as a sales manager at Audi CC personally bequeathed the SQ5 that I had agreed to purchase, including having my S4 valued and deposit in-hand to another customer without so much as an apology.

[QUOTE=MotorMouth;485584]After much handwringing and thought I have decided against moving out of the S4 and I have advised the Volvo folk accordingly.
Whilst now is not the time for rash financial decisions and upon reading of a couple of reviews of this car (not forgetting to add an APS ECU re-write) it shows there is little else around that hits the spot so well - indeed the reason I purchased it in the first place.
0-100 3.5 and 6.6l/100km on the highway.
From full dynamic all the way down to comfort and eco settings - this car can do the lot.
With the black pack and Opticoat ceramic treatment it looks the goods and it has two years warranty left and all of 21000km on the clock.
The Volvo is incredibly clever and capable with fantastic seats and could allow me commute on e alone during most of the week's motoring.
But ...... electricity is not free, the batteries have a notably finite life and it looks incredibly Volvo or boring.
Anyway I'm back in the fold ......and $50k better off!

nice one mate. I'd always love a new car, but then I love my old ones (they are part of the family!).
I think we'll buy an electric car in the next 5 or so years, and by then, should be plenty of things to keep me interested. If I was to do it today, I'd buy the new Skoda Kodiaq RS to replace the current one, or the Uoniq 5... I love the look of that one (on the web), but haven't seen on in person yet. I think it's sisters interior (EV6) is better though....
It's a retro 80's car look that I love... Maybe that's just me and my age!
Welcome back mate (sorry for the side track), you would have been missed!
