Some good reading and points here. What is hard to find it unbias option documenties/commentary on this. There are always too sides and on this topic there seems to be the majority of reporting on the negative side of it..

Hopefully the 'new' ones that are coming up are indeed safe and even if they have 'issues', they are not to the same level as the other sits have had (watched a show about a new reactor in the US in the 70's that had issues before it actually came online and was a cover up)...
Absolutely agree, the Nuclear debate has way too much emotion, and not much rational thought based on fact.
As I mentioned in regards to low level and high level waste, they are both globally recognised and identified by the same radioactive hazardous symbol.

They see the stock pile of the typical yellow barrels that glow green, and that fall of a truck and into a nearby river bringing the dead back to life.
But at the same time drive past a high level waste facility not even batting an eye.

So ya can see how just by comparing the two photos just how powerful emotion can infect a perspicacious point of view on the topic.
But sadly, not only is the public miss informed and uneducated on the topic, but even our own politicians and even government agencies such as CSIRO is miss informed to a point on even having a logical decision.
I just read an article by the CSIRO stating that any form of nuclear energy included SMR technology’s lol is the most expensive form of energy.
I have absolutely no clue how the CSIRO or any agency can put a single price tag on an industry that does not even exist lol
I actually call them up in trying to question as to how exactly do they have a price tag on a industry that dose not exist and I still have had no reply and nor will I ever get one.
But I can assure you, ones terra powers natrium facility is fully functional, (give it till 2028 or 2030) we should then know exactly how much, how long, and how cheep we can start an industry on.

My honest opinion, you just need to go where the money is, and there is tremendous amounts of privet investments flooding these new industries such as SMR, DAC and synthetics, with very little government incentives. Its pretty simple if the government needs to step in and hand out green bucks with incentives, its more then likely its because its a bad idea and no investor wants anything to do with it.

This whole renewable vs nuclear argument also reminds me of the old AC/DC wars. Where Tesla was ridiculed continuously by Edison of his technology as dangerous, expensive and impractical. Where he would falsely advertise it with displays of horror killing off elephants and cows putting fear into the public perception of the matter to the point no body wanted it fitted in there towns, in the fear of being killed. But, in those times, you couldn’t stop progress. After being massively funded by the public sector (mostly Westinghouse) there was no stopping a more superior and affordable technology.
So when I start to see our government throwing money into the renewable sector, I can’t stop being reminded of how wrong history has gotten so many important decisions when it comes to the publics interest.

I even called the greens party to get at least one person on record to discuss where exactly they stand on direct air capture and nuclear energy. Every attempt is either no comment or the greens have a no interest in carbon capture. I find that absolutely disturbing lol

So the most we can do is properly educate and inform the public so we can have a adult discussion on the topic.
But more importantly, its not just a discussion on whats safer and whats cheaper, but its a question whether we are ready to move into a new nuclear industrial revolution. And only then we will have the promises made to us in the 50’s where energy will no longer be a matter of luxury, but a world wide human right, and the end of reliance we have on fossil fuels.

    Back on topic,

Iv run into a bit of a head scratcher with trying to to access my adaptions in OIDSI and for some reason I’m not getting the display that I should be.

What it should look like when accessing the adaption of the dash cluster.
As you can see there is a number of futures to select from

But trying to access adaptations in any control module on my Q5, I only get some kinda blank unnecessary screen.
I have no idea what this screen is or what its used for. All I can say its not the adaptation screen.

I know there are not a lot of ODIS uses here but could this be a issue with component protection ?

So, I've just been told my oil leak is coming from the upper timing cover (passenger side) and cam seal.

    Engine out job.

Can we have a moment of silence for what I'm about to go through $$$

Why can't I be like a normal person who owns a toyota and not have to worry about bending over anytime something goes wrong.

yes, was this morning, and our sites were also down.

The server ran out of disk space (again)... I've had to remove some stuff and looking to do a bit of a clean up before I have to purchase some more space..
