yeah, agree on the parts. I've started to buy from info@rmparts.lv

They are not fast, but the parts pricing is hard to beat. Then again, this was before the AUD tanked..

I find VWwatercooledAustrlia is the closest Audi club for Australians.
I might put a word out on the Facebook groups to come join.
Australia deserves a real place for Audi owners to meet up and chew the fat and swap ideas.
I find the facebook groups are just for people who just bought a RS3 or S3 and just want some attention for it.
Nothing wrong with that but I just think there should be a real proper initiation and structured foundation for all Audi owners in Australia.
At the moment I feel like there are heeps of Audi enthusiasts, but we are all scattered all over the place and nothing really comes about it.
I think if we got a real club together, we could organise real events and meets.
Like id love to show everyone my SQ5 project but to be honest, theres no meets or car shows to do so.
    Am I being overboard lol?

Something at least i5, 8GB RAM, any size HDD will do but better to be small and SSD than 2TB and physical disc. Dime a dozen. If you already have a laptop of a popular brand, keep it the same so you can use the same charger.

Just remember only one usb port on them and power cable that can drop off...they are ok as a laptop, buy not that good at a tablet in my book.

Ive had two and switched to a dell laptop, mostly to do with the keyboard ans larger screen size ( i need 15" for my old eyes)..

If you can get a Toughbook cheap enough! You're not going to be on it for a long time, unlike your regular computer, so anything that is sufficiently fast so as not to be annoying. I think a physical keyboard is better than smearing oil and grease on a tablet screen so I'd go for one with a keyboard. I've never been a fan of tablets, or touchscreens. I like pointing at the screen sometimes and that doesn't work with tablets and touchscreens.

Looking at importing a car from the UK

Going off the marked price of £61,990 is about $110,980AUD

    $110,980 + 10%GST +$11,098
Going off a ruff estimate of import charges around $2500
Making the Luxury Car Tax value at $124,578
    So $124,578 minus the LCT threshold of $71849 X 10 / 11 X 33% making the LCT of $15,818
    So total of $140,3967

    Anything I’m missing here?
