Thread: Q5 tfsi 2L EPC light.

  1. #1

Default Q5 tfsi 2L EPC light.

So I scanned it with OBDELEVEN and it’s saying turbo positioning sensor. It is only intermittent coming on under light excaleration.
If I drive it hard no light comes up.
Question? If I change out the actuator does it need to be coded with VCDS or alike. Cheers Simon

normally changing a part does not require new coding in vcds, just clearing the error codes.

Some interesting reading here, where the potential same error was actually a leak..

    Ok cheers.
Thinking I just change the actuator then. Mine Is petrol and occasionally the electric actuator arm stays out. I could drive for ten minutes and it will happen and other times a hour or two. When I turn the car off it retracts back in no problem.
I’ve cleaned and checked all wire connections and de carbon the turbo veins. Also clean the MAP sensor.
