Hi there fellow audi enthusiasts, my names cliff and I own a ebony black pearl 2000 B5 A4 1.8t quattro sport.
I've owned the car for a couple of years now, I scored it from a fella that wanted it off his driveway after his mother gave it to him because she couldn't drive any more. He didn't have the room for it and it was blocking access to his shed/driveway so he sold it cheap. I paid $3000 for it and the only other one I've found for sale of the same model is 20k online so I think I got a bargain. Since owning it I've replaced all belts including timing and replaced the whole water pump and done the front engine seals and replaced the K03 with a garrett GT2871r eliminator kit from ECS. I have a genuine N75j that I haven't installed yet but the boost sits at 12psi currently. Its in great condition because the lady owner took great care of it so it runs and drives like its brand new. I replaced the old red tailights with some smoked ones from Poland. The last couple of weeks I've sanded the machining out of the outer lip of the stock rims and polished them then painted the centre and backs satin black and it neatened the car up.i also polished the top of the intake to because I was bored haha.i plan on doing a lot more to the car soon but for now it's a really nice car to drive.
I live in blenheim Queensland, I have never seen another B5 A4 driving around anywhere so it feels like a rare car to own and makes me appreciate it very much.

    Great to be here.

    Kind regards, cliff.

    nice one!

My first Audi was a B5 1.8TQ (red T), in dark blue (can't remember the colour), Avant... Great car!!

What are the rules in QLD in regards to the airbag on these models? Look up the forum, as there was/is talk of having to take them off the road (buy back) as the airbags are non compliant (and also reports on people putting on B6 model airbags?)

When I had the roadworthy done the guy checked and said it was fine and wasn't marked to be one of the recalls thankfully.
I think the dark blue was called santorin blue pearl effect.

good news on the airbag, old cars should be restored and driven, that's what I think anyway.

I actually can't remember the name of the blue to be honest, that's not like me!

    It was like this colour..

    Then I had a black B6 1.8TQ, I wish I still had kept!

Yes same I love restoring my car to look like new again.
The black wagon looks really smart, I like the lower grill section in the bumper of the later models after B5.
I found this colour chart a while ago for the B5.

What does the (red T) mean on B5?
My car had a red line badge that is supposed to be under the 1.8t badge on the boot but it was just sitting inside the boot when I got it.
