2018 Canberra German Auto Day

Does anyone know what exact date the ACT German Auto Day is this year at Pialligo Canberra?

I have seen posts saying 16 Sept, 23 Sept and even 29 Sept. :roll:

23rd seems to be a bit of a consensus which would put it a week later than normal but can anyone confirm and who is going?

After many years of absence due to regular Sept 16 commitments if it is 23rd I'll be able to make it. Always a great weekend and a nice variety of cars. :p

OS at the moment but I was given a heads up that it was on. Try and contact the ACT VW club, they usually provide umbrella coverage for all VAG cars and they should know the correct date for sure. There is also a website for the CAMC in the ACT that should have good dates. As far as I know, I'll be there this year.
 
Great, it will be good to catch up. Bit of a reunion maybe. I think my last time was also in 2006! :kiss_rings:
 
yeah, would be mate... I found out last night from the missus that if it is the 23rd, then I'm out :-(

It's her mothers 80'th Birthday... Apparently I can't miss that one for a car show :beat: Here's hoping the date changes...

From memory there is usually a good Audi contingent and everyone is welcome :kiss_rings:

Looks like so far there will be two B5 Audi RS4s at least!

Great, will be nice to see a bit of Audi history. The more classic cars always get a lot of interest!

Great day at the Canberra German Auto Day but bit of a poor turn out from Audi partly due to there being no ACT Audi Club.

Thanks to those guys who popped down to say hello.

Here is a few shots of the event:

Pretty much only three Audi's showed up for the duration of the show but with some more in the car park and a brief visit from a nice blue R8:

Perhaps the poor turn-out has more to do with the clash across shows than anything else. I went to the All Holden Day and I understand the Volvo Club had its event on as well. The ACT and Cwlth govts really do need to get their acts together to provide an outdoor display venue for things other than flowers and wall art.

Nice meeting you Don and as well as seeing you're RS. :_b:

I should of drove in instead of leaving my car out in the dust bowl I found. It would of been nice having both RS' side by side too.
