These sorts of rumours tend to occur every time there is a new model. From what I've seen in the past, where there is a will there is a way, and it'll only be a matter of time until the tuners crack the new ECUs and are able to offer their tunes. Ultimately their business model depends on it!
 
Yeh it’s just a matter of time before someone is able to bypass the factory ecu lockouts so I wouldn’t let that be a barrier to buying the 8Y

Ideally you’d want to just be able to fit a good quality catback to return the sound killed off by new regs and opf, and some cars that is the case - however the rs3 unfortunately is really hampered by the opf, and if you’ve owned a PFL, it’s tough to accept

I really cbb doing all the same mods again on an 8Y, I’ll save the energy and patience for an rs6 when Audi aus come to the party and approve the spec I want

Maybe then it’ll be easier to move on from the 5 pot
 
Hi guys, just getting my 2 year service done, tyres are getting close to replacing, I am sure the thieves will suggest replacing at an exhorbitant price, currently running on the original tyres the Pirelli Pzeros, whats the consensus on replacement? Cheers PS haven't posted for awhile, we need to do a drive.

Turf the Pirellis and go with the industry standard Michelin Pilot Sport 4S all square. It's night and day.
 
Quick bump to (re)introduce myself as a recent purchaser of a 2020 RS3 sedan. Good to be back after the s3 made way for an A4.
Just trying to get the front number plate holder removed. Reading about Lakin. Is he still around? Hasn't replied to website query.
 
Oh that's sad to hear. Condolences to the family.

Are there any good solutions for the front number plate holder replacement that you guys have come across for slim line NSW plates?

Did a pleasant drive to Bowral, Batemans Bay and Canberra in February. Our travelling partners drove onto Sydney when we went to Batemans Bay.
 
Hi all, I have recently purchased a pre owned 2020 carbon edition SB.

Unfortunately I can’t get the MMI to show text messages / notifications from my phone when connected via Bluetooth. This was a handy feature on my 2018 S3.

On my iPhones Bluetooth setup under the ‘information’ menu (see photo) there is no option to turn on “show notifications.”

Is this something that Audi dialled back for this year model? Any feedback would be appreciated from owners with the same model

Hi All,

Selling a ASR exhaust valve controller for a 2019+ RS3 Facelift with OPF. Have thrown a post up in the Market Place section of the forum if anyone is interested. Will leave it listed there for a couple of weeks as I am hoping someone from here can make good use of it before I list it on auction sites if still not sold.

I also have two brand new unused OEM silver mirror caps/covers from the 2020 RS3 I am happy to sell. If anyone is interested DM me.
