2026 Q3 Virtual Cockpit configuration

I cannot obtain the Classic instrument display configuration on our 2026 Q3. The ONLY alteration available via the MMI system is to change the brightness of the display! Audi dealer is of no help. Can anyone explain how this might be achieved? The existing Virtual Cockpit display is of a sole Tachometer, with only a lower digital Speedometer shown. Has Audi deliberately removed the Classic instrument display from the new Q3? If so, this is a poor backward step!

You should have a View button on the steering wheel, use this to change between them, it should be on the left hand side.

Also in the main is a owners manual, search for view button.

Thank you for your suggestion. We have tried the alternate views available, both via the steering wheel and the MMI system, but the Classic Configuration is not available. There are only three options - Tachometer, Car and Road view. I believe it to be a software restriction as the required view is available on other Audis (including my 2021 RSQ3!).

Audi's newest software with their virtual cockpit, "shake my head".
The old version of MMI and virtual cockpit had allowed for customised views in the VC, but all of this is now a thing of the pass.
Audi now uses their "digital stage" which groups the virtual instrument cluster and central touchscreen together. This has resulted in individual customisation limited to adding tiles to the 3 main screen views. Classic views have gone, but you are lucky as the 2025 Q5/Q6 models missed out on having their VC display full screen maps.

Ok, so they have 'changed' it again, and removed the old classic way... Moving forward by going backwards by the look of it. I can wait until the new GM gets past these current models and hopefully reverts Audi back to the ways of old, and leading the way in interiors, mmi etc.

I even looked to see if odb11/vcds etc could help, but it looks like this classic look has actually been removed from the firmware of the console, so no help there...
