I was wondering who on earth ever used that setting. Glad to see you have decided it won't be you ever again
Late night VCDS testing with ignition on... I was trying to keep the car quiet.. but forgot to fix it before test drive.

So running on AUTO lights setting isn't helping?

Hi guys, brand new to the forum, excited to be here! I am only a few weeks into owning my 2017 s3 Sportback and love it. The one mild coding I would really like to do is the mirror dip. Any recommendations of someone reliable that can help me out on lower north shore sydney (happy to pay reasonable $). Thanks! Looking forward to exploring the forum for tips

Wasn't a VCDS job. Put car in reverse, adjust mirror to where you want it to be. Back to park.
Leave mirror selector on left hand side, and it will dip on reverse.
Unless of course this came with the Ext Mirror option... which is why it works.
From what I have read this only works standard with the folding mirror option. Have tried it a couple of times.

I believe this to be true also as I had to option the folding mirrors so that I can have the dip in reverse.
Thanks, yeah I have definitely seen elsewhere in this thread it can be coded without the mirror package - just want to locate someone to assist in doing that.

I had the code, so must have used it on someone's car at some point. Can't implement for you, as in Adelaide.. but one step at a time

5 - Coding extended (Text mode)
6 - Select - Position memory With rear gear
7 - Change value to On
8 - Module 09 - Electronic. Code (31347)
9 - Adaptation
10 - Select - Control Access 2
11 - Sub - Menuesteuerung Spiegelabsenkung (On)
12 - Sub - Spiegelabsenkung bei Rueckwaertsfahrt (On)

damo, I did mine by using the OBDeleven dongle. Once I had the dongle, it was a piece of cake and I was able to do a number of other useful mods too.
Hey, thanks for that - that's the other way I was considering. Interested; where did you buy the dongle? What other mods did you find useful?

Autoinstruct is an in country option.

The Apple Fan Boys nornally buy a $20 android phone from Coles... or a cheap tablet. Works well.
Good point. Just found similar suggestions. Cheap tablet could be the go.
