A4 B9 Turbocharger

Hi Guys.
I have an A4 B9 2016 quatro with a 2.0ltr engine. The problem is my wastegate shaft bush is worn and its throwing a "wastegate actuator position implausable" code. I cant recall the code exactly but I had my mechanic check it out and he said there is a fair amount of movement. So basically I need to change the turbocharger. The turbo itself is fine for the moment but the car does have 127000 km on it so rather than put a wastegate kit in it, if there is one for it, id rather just change the whole thing.
Here in lies the problem. My guy says he cant buy an aftermarket one from his supplier as they dont list one for a CYRB engine code. The only option is genuine from the local Audi Stealer and thats going to cost me $7000 installed.

7zap says the part number I need is:-

VAG 06L145722D

However it also says that M and T and also 06L145874E is compatible. The shops around Newcastle all tell me that they cant get my turbo but they are only looking at the first number not any others. I totally understand that as they dont want to buy the wrong turbo.

Does anyone here know for certain that these are directly compatible.

TIA
Ray

I would look around, especially on some of the audi forum pages on facebook. There is a guy (in the UK I think) who reconditions turbo's and makes them 'hybrid' and also supplies wastegates etc..

here is his site..

I would have it rebuilt. Last one I had done was in Bayswater Melbourne, cost me under a thousand and a great job. 127km seems little, City driving?
