Hi, I recently made an inquiry to my local Audi dealer about getting a new Q5. My 2018 is running very well but coming to the end of the 5 year warranty.
I asked for pricing on a Q5 and included a request to price a tow bar. The quote came back with a tow bar price of $3600. I could not believe it.
I asked the sales guy if the tow bar fitted to my 2018 Q5 could be moved across. He said No and changes were made. I assume this must be to the electronics modules as I am sure the physical tow bar would not have changed.
Has anyone any experience with with fitting a non Audi tow bar?
I know Audi charges like a wounded bull for most genuine parts but this is over the top. Of course when the Audi is onsold with a tow bar then it would add zero value to the vehicle.
Thanks
Peter
