In the process of replacing the heater fan switch I also replaced the little incandescent lamps with high output LEDs.
Not rocket science but it worked really well. I upgraded the illumination for the heater controls, cigarette lighter and the ashtray light. I cut out the 3 lights, stripped out the internals of the lamp holders, fitted in the 6mm LED in each case, soldered a 470 ohm resistor, fitted wire tails and finished of with heat shrink. Soldered the lamps back into each wiring loom and job done.
