nice work... keep the pics coming as you go...much interest. And while you could do whatever you wanted with it, I am glad mine oldie didn't get cut up for the conversion.
 
thanks guys yes lots of long nights , hoping to have it ready for rally OZ in sept but is not looking good. iam so tired, its getting to me abit.

rumour has it that there is a s1e2 not sure if its gen or rep like mine in tas but cant confirm, so i think mine would be it , ,maybe . got the inside and outside of the body painted at the weekend and iam going for all the hanging panels this weekend coming. so hopefully things will speed up abit now i can start to bolt it together..

This is something that i am really keen to do, I love the S1 E2's... I just need to get someones old UR that is in not so great condition...

Wow, what an awesome project!! Didn't think anyone did this kinda stuff in Oz, would love to see it at a rally some time in the future. Only ever seen these things on TV.

ok due to lack of time the decision has been made too not try and rush the audi for the WRC . it needs time to be built properly and time to test so maybe early in the new year. just means i will be dusting of the datto for another crack at batesy in the classics

just annouced that a 6R4 and a audi s1 (not mine) will be at coffs WRC . the s1 is the one from NZ , audi motor with subbie running gear

There is going to also be an RS200 and a lancia 037 on display... that makes 4 group b cars attending this years rally oz... cant wait.
