Pics of your A3/S3

I struggled to find shots of a Panther Black car when I was in the market earlier in the year. In the end bought the colour sight unseen. Very pleased. I knew about the purple undertone but was unaware of the other tones that pop in the right light - a citrus black and a copper green. Mostly of course it is just black.

The car has Gyeon MOHS+ treatment.

This is a image heavy post.

Very nice mate. I do love a black car.

Received some nice pics from Speed Nation from the S & RS Dyno Day a few weeks ago.

Very nice Mac135 - love the Panther Black. To me, much more interesting than a traditional metallic black.

Congrats on the car too.

Here's some pics of my S3. Optic coat paint protection and opti window protection all complete. Getting window tint this Wednesday.

Tint is done, just going to leave it stock (apart from the res delete).

Looks great JCR. Can't wait to get the tinting. Am seriously thinking of the res delete too. I'd really want to hear what the difference is first though before jumping in to that mod.

Slats - did you get your windscreen opticoated?- I'm booked in but have said everything please except the windscreen as I have had bad experiences coating windscreens with other recommended solutions like RainX.

Yes I used the Optimum Opti-glass.

I've never coated my glass in the past either but can say that I'm really happy. There was a light shower on my way home the other day and the water just beaded off.

The bottle was was a bit pricey - $129.95 retail - but I get it cheaper since I know the guy who owns the shop.

There's really not a lot to it. Clay bar the glass, give it a thorough clean, wipe with isopropyl alcohol and apply the coating. Although it does need to be applied with care or else you will get smear marks on the glass.

How much do they charge at a detailers?

if you're in Brissy, I'm happy to show you.

Thank you.
Unfortunately I'm in ACT.
Ill get him to do rear window and see how that goes first.

One other thing I noticed is that the snow foam ran straight off the windows. It beaded on the paintwork but did a proper job. I'll post some pre and post-Opti glass snow foam pics on the weekend after I wash it.

The glass was super easy to clean but I'll put that down partly to opti glass and partly because the car's only been used properly for 2 weeks so the glass doesn't have any road grime or build up.

I'll be interested to hear your thoughts Dingah, I hope it works out well for you.

@2muchcoffeeman - looks great!

Thanks mate - it'll undergo the treatment in a couple of weeks out at Mitchell.
The concern with the windscreen is wiper blade shudder during protracted rain/wiping.
Being only a few months old the amount of spider crazing is still limited so I am optimistic.
Treatment of the black B pillars will be most welcome as you only have to look at them to induce fine lines.
The finish will compliment the 'other' work done recently by the folk at the other end of the street (!!)

Hey guys

just picked up the s3 this Monday , here's a pic .
no major plans just lowering springs , gloss black badges & method effects front lip splitter to come .
