I posted a question a few days back asking some questions about the behaviour of my transmission, and a couple of folks have suggested to me that i conduct a few maintenance items / repairs.
1) Do a full fluid and filter change.
2) While i have the pan off the transmission, consider changing the solenoids.
3) Using VCDS do a full adaptation reset on the transmission basic settings.
Steps 1 and 3 are all good, I can manage that. Ive made the decision to also do the solenoids while im in there, but im struggling to find the right solenoid kit.
The car is a 2015 Australian spec Q7 4M, which a believe specifically use the ZF 8HP65A transmission. I've been googling and YouTubing for the last few hours, and im running into dead ends.
Is anyone able to help me identify the correct solenoid kit for this transmission?. The kits seem to be different across the variants of transmissions (yellow, blue, orange solenoids etc), with the numbers of each color solenoid varying as well.
Would really appreciate if anyone can point me in the right direction.
