Looks like a good tuning option, I believe it’s just over $20,000 so not cheap.

For a new ECU which can do much more than the factory ECU allows, if you’re only doing a tune then definitely not worth it but is you plan on adding a few mods as well then from what I’m hearing it’s not a bad option as you can set so many safety parameters plus you can run any fuel and it tunes accordingly. That’s just a couple of things but you can program anti lag, have a few different maps to change to by using steering wheel controls , different launch control set ups and heaps more. I’m only just reading up on it and it sounds pretty interesting$20k for a tune?? That's crazy.
Do you know what Stage tune it had applied?for those interested. https://www.wrscperformance.com.au/audi-rs3-8y-tuning-packages-dnwc/
I brought one of my other cars there for a pink slip and one of the guys there own an 8Y and he said it is the first one in Australia to have a tune. he also started it and rev it a few time... very loud pop & crackles....
I think it was stage 2Do you know what Stage tune it had applied?
Welcome.Hi all,
New to this forum. I have a RS3 8Y. Just added a JB4 and cold air intake. Will leave it there for now. Cant wait to have the ECU cracked. At the very least to add some straight mid pipes. The sound i s very underwhelming.
Im waiting in that. All I really want to do is take swap the mid pipes out too straight. I just can be bothered spending more money on an emulator for $400 job. Hoping the ecu is cracked soonWelcome.
There’s a few exhausts around that bring it to life a bit better but removing the OPF will give best results but I’m waiting on being able to tune it before I do that
I got an Akrapovic and sound controller which made a decent difference, the sound controller is well worth it
I installed the ASR this week. WOW, what a difference. Noticeably better. It would be even better if we could get rid of the dam OFPsI think it pretty much does work like the ASR but I don’t know a lot about the ASR one and they are both plug and play so I suspect it’s pretty much the same thing. I just stuck with the AKRA cause it was the exhaust I got but I recommend a sound controller to anyone that wants a bit more from their exhaust as I’ve tried it with it and with out it and it does make a difference.
It makes a huge difference doesn’t it? My garage rumbles on cold start now quite badly, I have to get some pics of the “ factory performance” exhaust as it’s quite surprising the dents and restrictions in it, I was very surprised what I found when you consider it’s their performance version. I do agree with you about getting rid of the OPF but I will be waiting until it’s closer to the end of warranty and then I will replace everything up to the turbo and tune it.I installed the ASR this week. I think you should be pretty ok just changing the diffuser and it won’t look too out of place, I think the car in stock form looks a little subdued so putting an aggressive diffuser on it with out the rest of the kit isn’t quite my thing
Looks good, what’s it like with the extra overhang going up driveways? I’m a little worried when I do mine because my driveway is a little steep so more than likely is going to scrape but I’ll more than likely look at splitter lip protectorsFront Lip installed successfully today
Carbon Fibre option from "Automotive Passion" over in Scotland believe it or not...can't recall how I even came across these guys but very happy with the result / fitment.
No pre drilled holes or fixings supplied which I guess is a little bit "surprising" given it was like well over 2k landed here
Obviously wasn't difficult to just get my own screws, washers & double sided tape......
Anyway, all done, still plenty of ground clearance left sooooooooo think gonna need to get some lowering springs next!?
Anyone else installed some aesthetic mods of late?
