RS3 8Y Ordering and Spec

I finally get my car in 2 days, 15 days short of 2 years wait, nothing missing from the car and dealer has not changed the price. BUT I will never buy a car from them again.

You are obviously a very patient man, so I hope your car is now worth the wait. What were the specs of your car, and what was the problem with your Dealer?

Sportback, Turbo Blue, Sunroof, Carbon Package, RS Design Red Package, everything apart from Ceramic Brakes. Zero communication through the whole period not helped with so many different staff leaving.
 
I've now had a few dealers calling me to offer me sportsbacks on MY24 build slots with delivery in first half of 2024 so that aligns with Pickles comments a week ago. Pricing is somewhat reasonable too. My dealer said mine is coming now in about April, which if correct would be 2 years and 4 months from when deposit was paid.

Each dealer seems to have build slots for 1-2 sportsbacks and maybe 3-4 sedans given to them by Audi. Or they could just be cancelled orders from the last 2 years!
 
Car delivered, told by dealer that Audi are no longer doing turbo blue. So glad I got that colour as every man and his dog ordered the grey in in different variants, then either black, red, very few green. So exhaust and intake Monday, dash cam 2 days later and PPF the following Monday

So, regarding "exhaust & intake" will you dyno the car, before & after, to positively ascertain what actual benefits you have attained?

Not wasting money on a dyno exhaust will give zero gain, apart from noise and basically the same with the intake, maybe a small margin 2 or 3 kw. anybody with any knowledge would tell you the same.
 
Asked the dealer to turn off the soundacker before delivery and was told its not possible, as all ECU changes go through Germany and with a few min of them doing it it will come back "NOT APPROVED" the head of the workshop said try a aftermarket like OBD11 I tried that as I have one and it came up with "NOT SUPPORTED: I hate the fake sound.
 
Getting back to the topic on this forum for a moment - just so I can vent pretty much if I may...............Now over here in WA, we are starting to see communication of Price increases of 4.1% to orders made back in November 2021. Which by the way, we STILL have no clue as to an estimated arrival date / build allocation or anything. WTF seriously!!?
I know it's written into the contract they can pass on as much as 5%, but give us a break. We are being so ridiculously patient so surely that's just not fair play Audi ? (n)
Anyone else still awaiting delivery receive price increase/s?

yep, received the increase email today, still no mention on delivery date
 
Things appear to be pretty quiet on the RS3 sales front, for reasons of which we are all aware.
But a few new RS3 sales appear to be happening now, as a few new RS3s arrive, so I was wondering what "actual" driveaway pricing is being paid, particularly in view of members mentioning 4-5% price increases etc.
So, do any of you have any info, what "driveaway" pricing is being paid, mention of included options should be included because obviously they can make a difference?

Have been reading threads a while now on here while waiting on my 8Y. Have now taken delivery and thought i would jump on. Looks as though Member WF717 and i took delivery the same time from same dealer.

Keen to hear how people have modded their 8Y's so far..?

I have a Kyalami Green Sportback. So far have track pack PPF, Gyeon Ceramic, spacers and lowered. Keen on a down pipe and PCM next so monitoring content out of Europe.

How long did you wait for yours. Where did you get it lowered and what springs and spacers
 
Ordered 1st week in April 22 so final wait time of 18 months and 2 weeks (Quicker than i expected) Not sure how that works..? I know a few people still waiting who ordered late 2021.
I had it lowered at Pacortech in Ingleburn. Dave is a VW and Audi specialist. Also now has the Glosslab located at the back of his new shop so had PPF/Ceramic and tint completed at the same time.
Looking at springs Eibach and H&R seem to get the best raps for the 8Y. I went with Eibach's. They quote 20mm drop but it's around 25mm. Not ridiculous, but guard sits nice over the tyre.
Spacer's are Mode (Aluminium with extended nuts). Went with the consensus on these 12.5mm front, 15mm rear.
These two mods give the car a much more aggressive stance. Only draw back is the flick from the tyres is more noticeable on the side of the car.
